Meet
Zachary Richmond, LPC
Zack believes that mental and emotional health are just as important as that of our physical bodies. He approaches this process with individualistic, systemic, and holistic perspectives, and is equipped to do so with a faith-based foundation, if it suits the client—the goals and preferences of the clients are central to his process.
Zack earned his undergraduate degree in social work while on a full academic scholarship package at TCU. While there, he was a John V. Roach Honors College program participant, and graduated #1 of 1,156 students in the Class of 2010. Afterwards, he enrolled at The King’s University in Southlake where he first earned a graduate certificate in biblical studies with high honors, then a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree with high honors.
He approaches the counseling relationship from a perspective of finding and leveraging meaning, purpose, and fulfillment for all areas of life. To do so, he generally incorporates a combination of CBT, Adlerian, and Rogerian therapy, though is also equipped and prepared to utilize other approaches. His areas of practice expertise include working with anxiety and depression, coping skills, couples/relationships, pre-marital counseling, children/adolescents (particularly those who have experienced trauma and manifest significant behavioral issues), addiction, spirituality and spiritual abuse, and other general counseling topics.
